Lucy is our wonderful therapy dog that keeps us and our valued patients company in the office. Lucy has proven over the past couple of years to be very effective in helping make some treatments, that can be very stressful (i.e. injections, small procedures, and bandage changes) very much less traumatic and diminish the patient’s anxiety. As part of her therapy work, Lucy is helping children read who either aren’t too good at it or don’t really like reading. Lucy was required to go to Pascagoula, MS and undergo an extensive evaluation by a certified PetPartners experienced evaluator to become registered as a therapy animal.
